Code of Conduct

At Champlain Country Club, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment of mutual respect, professionalism, and community — not only among members, but also between members and our hardworking team. Our staff is committed to delivering exceptional service, and they deserve to work in a space where they feel respected. It has recently been brought to our attention that there have been instances of disrespectful and inappropriate behavior directed toward our restaurant staff. We want to address this matter clearly and promptly.

Disrespectful behavior of any kind — including inappropriate language, rudeness, or physical contact — will not be tolerated. We want to be especially clear: staff should not be touched under any circumstances.

Everyone deserves to be treated with courtesy, dignity, and kindness — and we expect our members to model this standard at all times. To ensure a positive environment for everyone, we ask that all members adhere to the following expectations:

  • Treat staff with the same courtesy and respect you would offer fellow members, and how you would want to be treated.
  • Refrain from any physical contact with staff.
  • Address any concerns or service issues through the proper channels — such as club management — rather than directly with staff in a confrontational manner.
  • Use appropriate and respectful language at all times.
  • Refrain from raised voices, rude comments, or any behavior that undermines the professionalism or well-being of our team.

Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable space for everyone who walks through our doors. We deeply value your membership and your role in making Champlain Country Club a welcoming and respectful community.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to uphold the values that define Champlain Country Club.  Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact management directly.

Warm Regards,

Champlain Country Club, Board of Directors
